2018 Summer Workshop

Posted: Mar 2, 2018

The IASC Summer Workshop is right around the corner...Don't Be Scurred 2018! Due to some conflicts this summer, the dates have changed to June 11-13, 2018, rather than the traditional dates in July. The workshop will be still be held at Millikin University in Decatur.

Once again, the workshop will feature A’ric Jackson as our workshop facilitator. This year will again feature a two-track program to allow students who have previously attended to return again to take their leadership to a whole new level. Students who have already attended twice should contact Kari Ebens, Workshop Director, to be considered for a Junior Counselor position.

The purpose of the leadership camp is to take the students through a progression of their current leadership, how they can aspire to greater leadership styles, create their “Leadership Legacy” and ultimately, how that can be used to interact and impact others. The camp will begin on Monday at 9:00 am and will finish on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Students will be chaperoned by experienced adult staff members. Delegates are responsible for their own transportation to and from the camp. This camp is open to student council officers and members, National Honor Society members, class officers and representatives, and any other officers/members and leaders from any club, organization or athletics in your school. Students must be entering the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade and have not graduated from their school to participate.
