Upcoming IASC Opportunities and Deadlines

Dear Illinois Student Council Advisors,

Congratulations on surviving Homecoming 2018! We hope you've rested up, because we have some deadlines and events coming up in the next few weeks, and we want you and your students to be a part of these outstanding opportunities.


Honor Delegate Applications
Applications for all honor delegates positions are due October 29. These important roles help provide services both before and during the 2019 IASC State Convention, and allow your to bring additional students to the convention. Honor Council Program
While councils assembling an Honor Council or Mini Book have until February 1 to submit their applications, schools submitting the Honor Council Program application by November 2 will earn an additional 10 points towards their book score. 2019-2020 State Board Applications
Even though we're only halfway through the first semester, we're already looking to the future and preparing for the next IASC State Board. Consider whether you have any young leaders in your council who might be ready to help lead the IASC. Applications for the 19-20 State Board will be posted on November 1. Advanced Workshop
The Advanced Workshop will be held Jan 18-20, 2019, at Lake Williamson Center in Carlinville. While the workshop is still a few months away, registration is open now. Students registering by December 7 will only pay $160 for this amazing weekend workshop.
