Once a decision has been reached to apply for an IASC Executive Board position, please complete the online application on the IASC website. Applications are due no later than 3:00 PM CST on November 30, 2021.

We are also seeking a school to host the 2024 IASC State Convention.  This is a two year commitment, with the advisor serving as Chairperson of the Board in 2022-2023, and the Convention Secretary's Advisor in 2023-2024.  If your school is interested in hosting, please complete this separate application process, available here.  This application is also due by 3 PM on November 30.

Being a member of the IASC is a rewarding experience for the students, the school, and the advisor. Remember that both advisor and student MUST attend the Credentials Committee meeting via video conferencing on January 22, 2022, to complete the interview process.

After a student or advisor applies for a position, specific information pertaining to that position will be emailed to the candidate, (i.e. job description, credentials, etc.). Please be reminded that your school must be a member of the IASC organization and a member of your district to run a candidate for office. Membership information is on the IASC website. Advisors, please remember that if your student becomes a member of the board that you MUST attend all meetings with your student.

If you have any questions concerning the candidacy process, please consult the IASC Constitution and By-laws. If you need specific questions answered, please contact Brandi Hitzemann, IASC 2nd Year Advisor at Large, at [email protected].
