The Honor Council program gives each school the opportunity to exhibit their hard work and dedication to their home school, district, and state. This is done by collecting pictures, constructing documents, and attending student council events by compiling them in a binder or submitting it online. These books are then collected at State Convention to display for other schools in the IASC to recognize each participating school’s hard work. The honor books are then graded/scored to be given a certificate/plague with their score and status announced at state convention.

Regardless if your council has completed an honor book before, the IASC has many different opportunities to participate. Applications for Honor Council are released each fall with a due date in early February. Bonus points are awarded to councils who sign up early, so be sure to turn in the application early! Any member school of the IASC can participate!
